Handmade soldered bronze sculpture created by Philip H. Darling of Long Island, New York, circa 1960's. Sculpture measures 34" by 16" by 7" and is signed P.H. Darling. In very good vintage 1960s condition showing some signs of wear conducive with age.
Philip H. Darling was a prominent public sculptor in Long Island, New York in the 1960s and 1970s. He worked exclusively with metal. His most notable work is his commission for the Rockville Centre Public Library in 1963 as seen in my last picture.
