Florence Knoll transferred the principles of the architecture of her time to the design of furniture. Her striving for perfect proportions resulted in timeless designs. Today, as then, Florence Knoll's furniture surprises with its own mix of freshness and elegance that is hard to resist. Florence Knoll was also closely associated with Mies van der Rohe. Fine details and pleasant materials lend the furniture warmth. This makes them an example of a very happy combination of the purist Bauhaus style with American mid-century optimism.

We acquired the sofas, originally from the early 60s, in need of restoration. This exceptionally large version was only available in large villas and in the German Bundestag in Bonn. We have therefore spared no expense or effort in the restoration. The wooden body, the slotted screws and the old frames have of course remained, but the rest - such as the upholstery, leather and saddlery - has been newly invested in. You can see the perfect finish of the natural leather.

Cover: light brown cowhide, natural and purely vegetable-tanned. Acquires a characteristic patina through use.
Material: lacquered steel, foams of different densities

The seat is stable, the leather natural.

The new price of the sofas with this leather is approx. 40,000 euros. We are therefore very fair with the asking price, given the elaborate work and the rarity value of the 4-seater sofa.
