This tool/carpenters box belonged to a family member here in RI. It was passed down twice but sadly the next generation is not interested in its beauty. It has a reddish orange paint that is showing its age of about 100 years, probably a bit more. It is made of pine, its joints are sturdy although they are not dovetailed. The holders for the tools are intact except for one leather strap that is included and can be reattached. The box has a fitted insert that sits on top. the box measures 32” L x 21” W and 15” D. It has no distinguishable smells like mold or mildew.
This box would make a great conversation piece in any decor.
