Entirely made by hand by Touareg women, these incredible size rugs are used to cover the bottom of the tents. This is how we notice a slightly rounded shape on this model.
Composed of dried palm fibers finely split into small strips - reminiscent of very small slats of wood -, leather, fabric, threads\. We love its exceptional patina, which proves its previous uses and its former lives.
Everything is braided with delicacy and incredible patience, it is a long-term job, which obviously takes several months, given the spectacular size of the whole.
The mat has singular and unique graphic patterns.
We love the details of colored threads bringing that extraordinary touch to an interior.
The rug has signs of use and wear, making it a unique piece.
