This magnificent slip asparagus dish is a rare 19th century piece, ideal for collectors and lovers of old French ceramics. Signed "G8" below, it could be attributed to the famous Orchies or Creil and Montereau manufactures, renowned for their exceptional ceramic know-how.
Its refined design highlights a textured leaf-shaped base, embellished with relief-sculpted asparagus resting on a raised part. The rich hand-painted glaze in shades of deep green, cream and earthy brown gives it a realistic and elegant look. The curved handles integrated into the decor add a touch of sophistication to this piece that is both functional and decorative.
