An original oil painting on wooden panel attributed to the Continental School, possibly mid 20th century, "A Spanish Courtyard" scene … Read more An original oil painting on wooden panel attributed to the Continental School, possibly mid 20th century, "A Spanish Courtyard" scene of the courtyard in sun light, a women dressed in black is entering a flight of stairs, an open door into the building is to her left, to the right is a woman sitting at a table, green foliage , a window and a red wall are to the left, 4 1/2" x 8", an indistinct monogram (NP?) is in the lower right corner front. CA number 3968, CA purchased winter of 2025 from a north of England auction house.
The 3" frame and linen liner are probably from the 1970's or 1980's. The painting has been surface cleaned and an archival varnish applied to the paint film.
