The chairs exhibit Danish, and Japanese design influences, making them simultaneously both modern, and classically Japanese in style.
The chairs feature an extended top, curved black vinyl back supports, curved black vinyl seats, with architectural exposed wood frames.
The four have been refinished, all are structurally sound and sturdy, some show variations in tone, one seat shows a split in the black vinyl upholstery, please see images.
Although not common knowledge, Japan had a active and well respected modern furniture industry active in the mid 20th century, these chairs are examples from this school.
Numbered, and marked Made in Japan, offered and priced as a lot of four.
