Hugh McKenzie [1909-2005] attended the Slade School of Fine Art . His watercolour drawings record the changing face of London during a period of immense architectural upheaval following WWII. His knowledge of architecture came from his years of experience working with the fire service. In the weekends he noted down the urban topography of Greenwich and Blackheath where he lived. McKenzie had many solo exhibitions and his works hang in most of Britain's major art museums See less
