: Beautiful 1920s German Bauhaus pendant light, the two tone glass globe is held by a metal ring chained to a brass gallery. We offer various examples of old luzettes produced and marketed by Siemens & Schuckert in the early 1900’s. This pendant is the only one of this kind we’ve ever seen in this size.
These type of lights are designed by famous German architect and designer Peter Behrens who is best known for his architectural and product designs of AEG Berlin and for being the preceptor of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Charles-Edouard Jeanneret (le corbusier) and Walter Gropius. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
