Wonderful antique French ‘cloche de melon’; beautiful watergreen mouth blown glass.
These cloches were used in gardens to protect young plants and crops from cold and rough weather outside.
Highly decorative, just by itself, or you can put a nice item underneath the glass, but as is, on a large farmhouse table, will look marvelous…
Considering its age the item is in a very good condition. Some minor things such as a small chip off the knob at the top (which is usually cut off ) and along the rim. See images.
