Table Knee Clearance 15 inch
This 18th-century Solid Wood Georgian Bureau is a stunning piece in terms of form and function, with a deep patina of well-aged wood. The slant-front design, a characteristic of fine Georgian furniture, opens to expose a beautiful writing interior, replete with a distinctively designed succession of small drawers and pigeonholes, as well as a central locking compartment, complete with key and tassel. Below the writing compartment, there are four graduated drawers with dovetailed woodwork, and period-appropriate brass handles with a faint patina, which adds to the bureau's authentic antique appeal. This exquisite bureau stands on classic bracket feet, giving it a commanding but unobtrusive presence that would make it a focal point in a study or a wonderful and stylish companion in a formal living room.

Please see largest flaw which is on top left where some veneer is missing. Some chips and scratches. Please inspect photos carefully. Right side of desktop Falls slightly deeper into frame then left side. Previously fixed with a small piece of added wood but that is in need of repair to balance the desktop while closed. See photos. This piece is over 250 years old and flaws are consistent with age. A small bit of veneer has come off and can easily be repaired. At some point during the 250 years new feet were put on. I restored back desk back to its original feet with its original feet. This is a solid heavy piece. less
