Superb and rare sofa designed by Ole Wanscher and produced by Fritz Hansen as model 1668 probably in the 1940s. The model was seen in Fritz Hansen's catalog #4202 in 1951 and earlier variants were around in the late 1930's and up through the 40's. Sturdy and strong with a charming and cool presence to anchor any room. Strong statement piece. Beech frame raised on a platform of stained beech. Reupholstered at a later point but needs to get reupholstered.
Please note it is common for furniture of this era to not have a maker's mark.
