Fringe tassels are now docked to the end of the plain weave kilim, which is secured to the back of the carpet. The finish now shows as clean and modern with proper anchoring and securing with stitching and no glue. Pictorial interpretation of a landscape complete with a tree line, rocky areas, cross-hatched water area, pinwheel spirals, and four-legged animals, all in a folk art rendering with simplistic and somewhat primitive character, albeit filled with subtle details and nuances. All animals and pinwheel spirals are woven in art silk. Colors and shades include: Natural gray, beige, dark olive green, ivory, dusty gold, and pale slate blue.
