More than a simple artistic performance, it's a journey to the interior. The bronze appears to be levitating on a metal rod resting on a bronze base. Both parts of the sculpture are signed (under the skirt and under the base). Samya Baroudi is a Lebanese artist. She began her artistic practice at the age of 24. Over the years, she discovered the potential of drawing and painting (watercolor, oil, acrylic\.) before turning to sculpture (wood, bronze, glass\.). She soon devoted her creative energies to dervishes, sculpting them in all shapes and forms using a variety of materials (metal plates, bronze, resin, etc.). See less
