The mirror has a wooden frame, decorated with gesso and gilded with gold leaf. The mirror dates from about 1850. The glass is original from the time, which is why there is some wonderful foxing going on in the glass, including some glitter at one of the edges, see pictures. The frame is in a good healthy condition and has a beautiful antique patina. Original wooden back. This antique mirror blends its 19th-century heritage with a surprisingly modern aesthetic. It can be hung either horizontally or vertically, making it a versatile and eye-catching decorative accent for any interior. Note: The stripe visible in the glass is from the board used during photography—it is not part of the mirror glass!
