The inner rim is elegantly edged with a classic "string of pearls" motif. A quintessential louis philippe mirror, it boasts the characteristic rounded upper corners that define this timeless style. The mirror frame is structurally healthy. The mirror has its original mirror plate and back cladding. The gold leaf gilding shows some slight red bole through the gilding, giving the mirror a warm touch and great character. The mirror glass is in very good condition, with a few tiny foxed spots that enhance its antique charm. One larger foxed spot is visible in the lower left corner (see picture). Note: the stripe visible in the glass is from the board used during photography—it is not part of the mirror glass! minor imperfections on the frame, as expected for a piece of this age, only add to its unique allure.
