The … Read more This highly decorative, solid bronze chinese moonflask in han dynasty style, has beautifully patinated to a deep verdigris green. The flattened sides have applied taotie masks holding ring handles, raise up from a rectangular pedestal foot. The vase has been converted into a table lamp at some point in its life and the pedestal foot sits in a stepped wooden base. This is a very large and incredibly heavy lamp - weighing in at a hefty 28kg, as shown photographed on the scales. There are two bulb holders fixed to a central brass column that has a small screw on the side to enable the height to be adjusted to suit your chosen lampshade, and an elegant ball finial to finish. The lamp has been professionally rewired with antique brown coloured cord and a new switch.
