The English playwright is depicted rather flatteringly with the trademark facial hair often attributed to him, well dressed in clothing that appears to be more contemporary to Hans than Shakespeare himself. The name Shakespeare appears at the bottom of the bust, just above a black pedestal. Signed H. Müller on the back of the right shoulder. Small stamp at the center back of the bust just above the pedestal. On the base, marked Erzgiesserei aug? wien (double struck, hard to read) above and Made in Vienna below. Base is open bottom, metal, with small felt feet added to protect surfaces.
