Wastebasket rubbish bin trash can composed of a red leather-like material (or possibly actual leather.) The front design is perfectly centered within a framed gold banding-style gilding. The material looks and feels like leather, but could possibly be made from Naugahyde. I do not suspect it to be paper.
This piece is almost reminiscent of the Florentine style. Florentine meets Federal, perhaps. Stately and sophisticated.
