This … Read more "Waves" is an oil painting by Monica Shulman inspired by her love of nature and in particular, the ocean. This abstract expressionist work is infused with both the high energy of the ocean and the tranquility of calm seas. Using boldly layered oil pigments and a serene palette of blues including indigo and cerulean, Monica aims to capture an ethereal landscape. Using strokes of vibrant blues, layered with calming and joyful, pink, purple and lavender and textured white, this abstract painting creates a sense of balance and invites nature into your space.

This bold yet calming painting is created on a gallery-wrapped canvas that is painted on all four sides. The painting can be hung both vertically and horizontally - what the buyer prefers.

Monica has been featured in various publications including the Washington Post, Popular Photography, Create magazine, and the Huffington Post. In 2022 she was invited to join the National Association of Women Artist. In 2019 she was named "Best Artist" in Westchester by Westchester magazine. Her work has been shown at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York City, Photo LA, the National Arts Club in NYC, Art Market Hamptons, PULSE Art Fair, and the New York Mercantile Exchange, among others.
