RARE & UNUSUAL! This is an original French fashion croquis (drawing) that dates to the late 1940's. We purchased a … more RARE & UNUSUAL! This is an original French fashion croquis (drawing) that dates to the late 1940's. We purchased a small grouping of these drawings in Paris; please see the others in our shop as these work beautifully as a grouping. This very rare and unusual pen and ink drawing is on calque (semi-transparent paper). It is hand done in watercolor on the reverse side. See photo that shows this. Please note that I had to scan only part of the reverse side carefully as to avoid damaging the image. This process which lends a unique mat textural quality to the drawing was borrowed from the more typical technique of reverse painting which was traditionally done on glass. It is the first time we have seen this type of drawing in all our years of collecting. Note the rear dress rendering as well. The fashion design is hand numbered and retains the original couturier stamp. The image is affixed at the top of thick acid free stock paper, 8.25 x 11.75 inches. Image is 7 x 10.25 inches. less

The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.
- Please notify us within 24 hours of purchase if you would like to cancel an order, as prompt cancellation will reduce the likelihood that you will incur return shipping charges.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.

- Chairish In-Home Delivery
