Ilewski-Huelsmann expertly employs a unique array of media to achieve the unique dreamy surface quality that defines her work. This painting is from her "Duet" series, about the relationship of the artist's fraternal twin daughters, one of whom suffers from a rare disease that kept her small and fragile at this age. But it could be about any sisters. The painting was made with found fibers and acrylic on canvas. Very large with a lot of wall power, at 4 feet across.
