A stunning mixed-media work by notable Illinois artist Christine Ilewski-Huelsmann, not only a fixture in the arts establishment widely represented in galleries and museums but also founder of Faces Not Forgotten. Ilewski-Huelsmann expertly employs a unique array of media to achieve the unique dreamy surface quality that defines her work. This painting is from her "Duet" series, about the relationship of the artist's fraternal twin daughters, one of whom suffers from a rare disease that kept her small and fragile at this age. But it could be about any sisters. The painting was made with found fibers and acrylic on canvas. Very large with a lot of wall power, at 4 feet across.
Proudly presented by Guy Lyman Fine Art, New Orleans.
