This Heywood Wakefield wicker console, crafted between 1897 - 1930 during the merger of Heywood Brothers and Wakefield Company hails from the Chicago factory, renowned for its high-quality wicker and rattan furniture, making this beautifully preserved piece a true collector’s item. With intricate white wickerwork and a natural wood-finished top, it adds timeless elegance as a sofa or console table, seamlessly blending vintage charm with modern functionality.
This Mission-styled table features a quarter-sawn white oak top with a dark amber finish that pops against the clean crisp white wicker.
Note: This table is different than the traditional light maple table tops, which makes this table unique.
The top has been stripped and resurfaced to match the original finish. The original finish can be seen in the photos of the underside of the table.
The original Heywood Wakefield label from Chicago is affixed under the lower shelf of the table (see photo). The Chicago Factory was in business from 1989- 1930.
The table is in very good condition and has been built with great-quality craftsmanship.
