This Mid-Century extraordinary Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau walnut highboard was delivered to a furniture store in Wuppertal at the end of the 1950s and has been in the same ownership ever since. According to experts from the Hellerau workshops, the piece of furniture can be classified in the Franz Ehrlich series 602. A modification by Ehrlich himself is possible, but also a similar design by Ernst Max Jahn or Arnecke & Siebold.
The condition is unrestored and very good. The two large sliding doors are moved using leather tabs and run like they did on the first day.
