This is a quite unique vintage or antique cast iron architectural salvage piece in 3D relief which features 2 side-by-side … Read more This is a quite unique vintage or antique cast iron architectural salvage piece in 3D relief which features 2 side-by-side groups of acorns and leaves. It has a straight iron rail in the cast that runs the length of the piece -- great for standing on a mantel, or for standing on a window frame or door casing. Because of the acorns, I would consider the style a rustic, country or French Country style. Being in 3D relief, it is quite substantial and heavy. It is about 23 1/8" wide and 7 1/2" tall. Since it is in 3D, it measures about 3/4" wide. It weighs just under 10 lbs. This would be great for standing on a mantel, or as a special Fleur de Lis door topper or window topper. It is in excellent condition, with surface rust that can easily be removed with either rust remover, or my favorite, a soak in vinegar. Though most use these as-is for authenticity, it can easily be painted a desired color to match your decor. See less
