The striking majestic dog with its Bronze patine'd Brass finished hardware forms a stunning profile that creates a profound visual statement, all expertly crafted and assembled to the high standards of Frankart lighting of the period. Comprised completely of heavy Bronze patine'd Brass form & hardware. The original Brass Finial crowns a complimentary Silk-like lamp shade which is a contemporary replacement that adds a sophisticated tone while casting the ideal ambient light upon the finely detailed form. The makers mark "Frankart Inc. Patent" is clearly molded into the baseplate backside (see last pics). See less

This rarely seen design Frankart lamp is in excellent original condition, completely intact and fully functional. Just moderate signs of usage wear and age with no obvious damage or repair issues aside from some scratches to the foundation base and the ideal overall patina wear to the Bronzed Brass finishes. Original push through socket has been inspected and appears to be clean and safe, power cord has been replaced with rayon wrapped insulated wiring and is completely safe and functional. The Off White colored Silk-like shade is a contemporary replacement and essentially perfect…the fabric and dimensions of shade provided may vary ever so slightly depending on suppliers availability. Bulb is NOT included.
