Set of four early Pirkka chairs designed by llmari Tapiovaara for Laukaan Puu, Finland in 1955. The seat and back of these Tapiovaara chairs are made of solid pine and the legs of black lacquered birch wood. The Pirkkas are branded Laukaan Puu, made in Finland, Tapiovaara, design (see photos). Dimensions: h x w x d = 75 x 39 x 41 cm, seat height = 41 cm. This is the first version by Laukaan Puu from c. 1955. Later production was taken over by Asko and then Artek. Marked (see photos). This piece has an attribution mark,
