The chair frame is of premium quality Rattan with decorative leather strapping accents hand applied in various locations on the chairs' base frames - all finished in Baker/McGuire's exclusive Dark Tobacco Finish. In addition, each chair has a crisscross rattan stretcher approximately 8" up from the base that is connected to each of the 4 legs for structural support - also in the same Dark Tobacco Finish. The legs have a slight "flare out" design making these chairs very sturdy and conducive to everyday use. The interior back and the seat feature tight upholstery that is extremely comfortable. The upholstery fabric is a couture tweed patterned fabric in Light Grey by Lee Jofa and the seams on the seat edges are "baseball stitched for a Soft Look while the perimeters of both the interior back and seat are in a self welt cut on the bias as an added design element. The exterior backs consists of a tightly woven rattan also in the Dark Tobacco Finish. This set of 4 McGuire Dining Chairs would be at home in a breakfast area. Alternatively, they would work well up against a game table in a family room or Den. This set of 4 dining chairs is a rare find and they are all in pristine, 1st quality, showroom condition (albeit no longer made) and they have had no previous owner. See less
