Originally priced at over $68,000 for the set of 10, our listing price reflects a substantial discount when consideration is given to the unique design, skilled craftsmanship and highest quality materials available. These exquisite chairs are antique reproductions of chairs from a historic castle in Europe manufactured under license by Baker. They are antique (approximately 35 years old) and were originally part of the Stately Homes Collection Display in Baker's High Point, NC Showroom. The extensive raised reliefs on the back, front, base frame and legs are made of solid Mahogany wood were all hand-carved by skilled Baker carvers (made before the existence of CNC carving machines) in Baker's then Holland, MI plant. The front and back of back feature swirled Mahogany wood veneer wood has been "match booked" to create a wood grain pattern similar but unique to each of the 10 chairs making each chair a one-of-a-kind. Each of the front legs has hand-covered "claw" feet as an additional design detail. The seats are upholstered in a striaed blue silk with light taupe embroidery. The silk was backed for long lasting durability prior to the upholstery process and is "unseen". These are truly unique dining chairs well suited for use in a formal dining room. A set of 10 of these chairs is a rare find and all 10 chairs are in pristine, 1st quality, showroom condition (albeit no longer made) and they have had no previous owner. We currently have 10 of these chairs available (2 arms, 10 side) and they are priced to be sold as a set of 10. See less
