Jacquard-woven textile with blue and natural cotton warp and red, blue, and green plied wool weft fringed outside both selvage edges, the top edge retaining period binding and the bottom edge inscribed "THE PROPERTY OF MAGDELENA. SHOPP." in red and white band above fringed warp threads, the square center comprising nine blocks of floral medallions surrounded by wide border depicting flowers, birds, and apples, inscribed "SUPERIOUR. / COVERLETS / MANUFACTURED / THE LATESt FASHION / SEIFERt. &. CO. / MECHANICSBURG / CUMBERLAND COUNtY / PENNSYLVANIA" on four corner blocks.
