These are very desirable cabinets with a multitude of uses and most we encounter have had a pretty rough life but this one is in wonderful condition. The linen press is crafted from very attractive Santo Domingan Mahogany with the best cuts reserved for the drawer faces & paneled doors. This was previously used as a TV cabinet which is why there's a small hole drilled into the backboards and only the top two pull out shelves are present. The lower cabinet has a practical layout with 2 half drawers over 2 standard drawers with heavy brass pulls & brass escutcheon plates. The cabinet is in 2 sections and again is in fantastic condition with our only notes being a couple of old age splits on the sides of the lower cabinet that have been properly addressed. The cabinet has two old inventory tags from George Baker & co from Baltimore, MD. The firm also had warerooms in Atlanta on Spring st that we learned of from an old postcard depicting porcelain figurines and lusters. The linen press measures 49 1/2" wide x 23 1/2" deep x 71 1/2" tall. See less
