Brushed brass shade with mess metal ring top floating above a suspended milk glass diffuser housing a clear glass center eye. This pendant light illuminates a warm upward glow with a nice light spread around and downward light. A very nice period fixture in very good condition. This style is a lantern styled modern saucer pendant that became popular in French lighting design in the late 1940's and soon became popular in American lighting design of the early 1950's.
