Silver Plated Bowl 12 Lotus Petals Matte + Shiny Silver Metal Bowl Vintage 1960s .
This vintage 1960s, silverplated lotus bowl has 12 pointed petals surrounding the center and is shaped like a water lily flower. The bowl measures 4-3/4" wide by 3" high. The base measures 3-3/4" wide. Makes a nice addition to a silver/silverplated collection, collectors of Lotus-shaped objects, unique silver bowl collections, or just because you like this particular bowl. There are a couple of tiny discolorations inside the bowl, but no dings, dents, scratches or major discolorations/tarnishing. Original sticker at bottom states "silverplated china". The bowl was a gift and never used. Stored in a cool dry place. Comes from a smoke-free/pet-free home.
About the Lotus Flower:
The lotus flower maintains strength, and pushes aside obstacles as it makes its way to clearer surfaces, freeing itself from the harsh life conditions below. It is then that the lotus slowly opens each petal to the sun. Despite being born into dark, murky conditions, where hope for a beautiful life seems dubious, the lotus grows, rises above adversity. The inner lotus too, has never seen a drop of dirty water. It is pure, and bright, and beautiful. In Buddhism, the bud of the lotus symbolizes potential. The lotus flower represents an awakening, spiritual growth, and enlightenment. Just as the lotus flower emerges from the water clean, the lotus also represents purity of body, speech, and mind. The lotus could be thought of as an awakened mind, which grows naturally toward the warmth and light of truth, love and compassion. The lotus may appear fragile on the surface, but it is flexible and strong, securely anchored under the surface of the water. You don’t need to be Buddhist to understand that we are all like the lotus flower. Many of us live in that murky water, and never make it to the surface so we can blossom. Many of us are close; we are just buds, ready and eager to feel the sunshine of life on our skin. The conditions that produce beautiful life are not always ideal, but that never stops the lotus from rising through adversity, opening its petals, and blossoming in the sun.

Cancellations

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
