Their bright and joyful characters are highly reminiscent of George Nelson's vibrant caricature graphic designs of the same period. These playful, yet highly Atomic era influenced sculptural forms are highlighted by brilliant molded plastic bodies that connect via their flexible "gooseneck" armatures to the bullet shaped aluminum shades portraying the vibrant animated caricatures of youthful Boy and Girl puppy dogs. These stunning Mid Century Modern sculptural lamps are in exceptional overall condition, completely intact, unmolested, and fully functional. Their smooth molded plastic bodies are super clean and blemish free while the screen printed cartoon graphic faces on the aluminum shades are equally as clean with some minimal signs of use and wear - mainly some small finish nicks, scratches and faint dents in the bullet shaped shrouds. The original orange ball rotary socket switch and power cords have been inspected and are clean, safe and functional.
