The bases elegantly curved atomic tripod armatures with their complimenting ball form details is a rare example of Gibbings' futuristic minimalism aesthetic wherein he fused simple design forms with Modern aesthetics to create a strikingly new vision, all very well machined and manufactured. This brilliant pair of large Mid Century Modern lamps are in exceptional original condition, completely intact and fully functional. The polished Brass finish exhibits only light signs of wear with just some small areas of age tarnish with no damage or repair evident . The 3-way switch/sockets and power cords are all original and have been inspected to be clean, safe and functional. The off-White colored Linen-like shades are highest quality contemporary replacements to the originals and are perfect…the shades delivered may differ in fabric and details ever so slightly due to suppliers availability. Bulbs are NOT included.
