This is not just any bottle opener—it’s a stunning piece of Art Deco barware crafted by renowned New York silversmith John Hasselbring (1890-1955). Made from sterling silver, this multi-purpose tool features a bottle cap lifter (aka bottle opener today) and corkscrew, plus a seal cutter prong, a rare feature for opening bottles with loop seals.
It is hallmarked with John Hasselbring’s “JH” within outward-pointing arrows, “STERLING” and "PAT.1906." The end cap has a fancy hand-engraved G(?) letter monogram. Likely made between the 1910s and 1930s, it embodies the luxury and elegance Hasselbring was known for in barware and tableware, with a sleek, timeless design.
