A gorgeous 18th century English teapot
Tooled, embossed sterling silver with scrolled wooden handle
Full set of hallmarks towards the top rim: 3 touch marks - London, year and sterling standard; plus maker's mark to the left, hard to be photographed. Identified as possibly William Gould, maker
Engraved at front a stag crest and a banner with logo reading "Ut Ameris Ama" (Love to be loved) from a family coat of arms
As it seems it belonged to noble family
From George II period (1727-1760), dated 1746
Measurements: Approximately 9.75" high x 7.5" spout to handle x 4.25" base diameter
It weighs 1 lb. 12 oz. - 794 grams
