This truly exceptional vintage mid-century modern Gio Ponti or Paolo Buffa style credenza or sideboard bar cabinet with mirrored wall panel was made in Italy circa 1950. This handcrafted cabinet is incredibly well-constructed and consists of a mahogany center cabinet supported above and below by 3/4” thick glass panel shelves and resting on heavy tubular steel legs, all attached to a monumental floor-to-ceiling mirrored wall panel. The wooden cabinet has three locking front-facing doors featuring four beautiful, intricately hand-painted Asian figures. The two side doors each open on a storage compartment with one small removable glass shelf. The center dropdown door opens on a glass and mirror-lined bar compartment with one removable glass shelf and a plug-in center light that illuminates when the cabinet door is opened. The stunning mirrored wall panel backing consists of fifteen individual mirror panels with gold decorative embellishments that mount to a large wooden wall frame. All original brass hardware with three original working brass cabinet keys included. This incredibly unique and elegant cabinet is a truly one-of-a-kind collectible and statement piece.
