The work depicts the biblical moment in which Isaac, blind and wrapped in sheets and blankets, blesses Jacob. Sitting on the bed, Isaac holds his hands on the head and hands of the young Jacob, kneeling in front of him. To the left of the scene, Rebecca, also kneeling, encourages Jacob to carry out the deception against his father, holding a finger to her lips as a sign of silence.
