A space-age table lamp, model bn26, designed by hans-agne jakobsson in the 1960s for his company, hans-agne jakobsson ab, in markaryd, sweden. Crafted from aluminum, it features a cone-shaped base supporting four disc-shaped shades. Equipped with a light switch on the cord. Swedish industrial designer hans-agne jakobsson, born on the island of gotland in 1919, began his career as a carpenter's apprentice in his teenage years. Following his pursuit of architecture studies, he joined general motors as a designer. In 1951, he established hans-agne jakobsson ab in the quaint community of markaryd. The factory is most renowned today for its mid-century lighting fixtures, though it also produced small furniture and various other interior design objects. The two ashtrays available for sale serve as remarkable examples of jakobsson's talent in merging craftsmanship and industrial production to craft minimalistic and timeless objects.
