Antique Chinese Swoop Handle Wedding Basket of woven rattan and bamboo. Called a wedding basket as gifts from the wedding are collected and offered in such types of baskets. Completely hand made involving intricate weaving and carving skills. This basket was made for a specific event. Lightly painted top with regional seasonal flower, having a carved banded base with swoop handle. In good condition. Zhejiang China ca 1900. Nice piece for collection.
