Giovanni Desimone Italian Pottery - Unique Egg Cup form - marked 27? 13?
( Italian, 1930 - 1991 ). Post war and contemporary ceramicist / artist who was a student of Pablo Picasso.
Likely 1960s but may be much older. I found in my mother’s things she received from my Italian Father, from Bagnoli, Italy.
She used it for an Avocado Pit sprouting cup so it frequently had water in it.
It has a few areas where it feels rough. Some is just how it was fired and some seems like the glaze is worn .
This piece stands 4” tall and is 2 1/4” wide and back (round)
