Large antique 18th century Chinese export Qianlong porcelain jardiniere or basin with mask handles circa 1730. Decorated in strong opaque enamels in the famille rose palette with flowers and moulded leaves around the foot. Early in the Qianlong reign, Qing dynasty. Measures 15 3/4" across over handles x 11 3/4" x 6.75". An identical example sold Sotheby's - Collection of Mrs. Paul "Bunny" Mellon, New York, November 21, 2014 (Sale N09247 Lot 1318).
Restored with areas of flaking spray and overpaint. Rings like a bell when tapped. Presents well.
