Half-moon chest of drawers in marquetry stamped Jean Frédéric Ratié (1755-1838). This chest of drawers opens with
three drawers and two side doors. The top is covered with white marble surrounded by a bronze gallery. This piece of furniture was
restored and varnished with old-fashioned stamping.
Jean Frédéric Ratié was born in Hanover in 1755, he is a Parisian cabinetmaker established in Faubourg St Antoine, received Master's degree on July 15
1783. He worked for the Crown furniture store which ordered three chests of drawers from him for the castle of St Cloud.
We find his signature on a rear pillar: F.RATIE
DIMENSIONS: 1.25m in length, 0.56m in depth and 0.86m in height.
