This is a powerful and elegant abstract color photograph using analogue photography by greek-american artist & designer mk semos. It is sized 30x30 inches / 76x76 cm, and has a french cleat system on the backside, which hangs easily and seamlessly onto the wall. The edges of the acrylic are polished. This image can be commissioned at larger sizes. A nod to the historical grandeur of alexander the great, with a modern twist and forward thinking message that suggests we all have the potential for greatness and victory in our future. Crown of tomorrow captures the idea of collective empowerment and the belief that everyone will have their moment to rise. Using e100 vs kodak film and a single lens rolleiflex camera, this work is part of a series called “the relics” that was shot inside the tomb of king philip ii of macedon, father of alexander the great in vergina, greece. At the time of the original photograph in 2004, the archaeological site had been newly discovered. “the relics” are a continued body of work by semos, bringing an otherworldly sense of energy and movement to ancient pieces of history. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
