Minimalist in form Jared rejects a flat pictorial expression and mundane materials with emphasis on tactile value . His work strives for a visceral response triggered by the heavy use of texture playing with light and shadow.
Like most of Jared’s work, he experiments with processes that represent time. In this series the concept of time becomes tangible, within its suspension there is profound stillness- a momentary sanctuary to contemplate the fluidity of time and the beauty found in its fragile grasp. Jared captures movement and memorialises time. The brutal yet precise expression is almost sculptural, and this complexity gives this series a captivating energy.
