ALLIOT" engraved with … Read more Wonderful, large terracotta sculpture, entirely modeled by hand, depicting a nude woman, signed by the artist "L. ALLIOT" engraved with a metal nib on the ceramic mixture before firing, there is also a stamp imprinted on the base. The sculpture dates back to the early decades of the 20th century. The artistic quality is extremely high. Note the beauty of the woman's pose with her head slightly bowed forward, with a provocative yet sweet gaze, and note the intertwined fingers and toes, defined in the smallest details. This is a true work of art in terracotta. The sculpture is very heavy because it is worked from a block of clay without a mold and carved by hand, which is why the sculpture is solid and not hollow.
