The outstanding feature is the fine skills of the artisan beader. First a base applique of black silk is mended onto the white silk as a base for the beading. Using a fine needle and sturdy thread, the beader individually embroiderers them onto the fabric in a continuous, fluid motion, creating a modern pattern that shimmers in the light. This combination of old handwork technique and a modern aesthetic brings this pillow to life.
