This painting depicts a seated gentleman in blue. He sits upright in a chair while holding a handwritten letter.
The detail and quality of this piece are incredible.
This oil on canvas painting is not signed, but it is believed to be by someone from the circle of Thomas Hudson (1701-1779) or possibly Hudson himself.
