Subsequently, she moved into a home with a large garden, and discovered the healing power of working with plants. Ever since, she has added to her series titled "My Back Yard," which celebrates the diverse plant communities surrounding her.

This acrylic painting is on gallery wrapped canvas. It is initialed on the front and signed on the back, and has a UV protective varnish. It is in a black wood floater frame with a narrow gold front edge, which is wired and ready to hang.

Laurie MacMillan has enjoyed numerous awards and solo exhibitions, and has had pieces selected for over a hundred juried group shows. Her work is held in personal and business collections across the U.S., and in Canada and England. See less
